Go Blue - Network
We could tell you all about UMaine’s wireless network, but that is so 2003. A few years back, UMaine introduced the first – and only – New Media department in the state. And it’s so hot, it attracts students from all over the world. But that’s old news. Here’s something fresh, though. UMaine was one of the first 28 campuses in the country to offer classes and lectures to the public through iTunes U.
At UMaine, we also know there’s a lot more to connecting than technology. That’s why we have powerful human networks, from the specialists in Information Technologies (IT for short) to our expert research staff in Fogler Library, the largest library in the state. And we have hundreds of clubs, organizations and services that bring you together with people who share similar beliefs, interests, backgrounds and goals.
Finally, we want you to stay connected to the world around you. That’s why the University of Maine has the state’s oldest campus newspaper, a great radio station and a constantly updated Web site and calendar. The world is your classroom. And the world is at your fingertips.
