For fall admission, complete the 2010–11 FAFSA as soon after January 1, 2010 as possible, and before February 15, to ensure the information is received by the Federal Processing Center before March 1, 2010 (UMaine’s FAFSA filing deadline). Fall applicants whose FAFSA information is received at the Federal Processing Center later than March 1 will be given awards on a funds-available basis only, which may negatively affect the amount of their award. Students applying for spring 2010 should complete the 2009–10 FAFSA as soon as possible. More information about UMaine’s financial aid programs is on the Web.
